ABOUT THE ANCESTRAL REMEMBRANCE GALA
A Sacred Vision Born in Love
A Night of Ancestral Remembrance was not just planned — it was called into being.
This event was born from a divine vision received by Dr. Latia E. Phillips-Bey, Founder and CEO of Project Beautiful, after the passing of her beloved mother in 2024. In a sacred dream, her mother appeared on a quiet stage and spoke the words, “turn this into love.”
That moment became a spiritual directive — a call to gather the community in remembrance, love, and healing.
Through prayer, reflection, and ancestral guidance, The Ancestral Remembrance Gala came to life — not as an event, but as a sacred offering to honor those who came before us and to celebrate those still carrying the light forward.

MEET THE VISIONARY
Dr. Latia E. Phillips-Bey, DHA, MBA, MSW, CYT
Founder & CEO, Project Beautiful and The Blue Tent Sacred Divinity School
Dr. Latia E. Phillips-Bey is a visionary leader, healer, and spiritual guide whose life’s work is rooted in the restoration of sacred community and ancestral healing. As the Founder and CEO of Project Beautiful, she has dedicated her life to empowering women, supporting expectant mothers, and rebuilding the ancestral village model as a path toward collective healing and wholeness.
Her journey is marked by divine calling and deep devotion. Following the passing of her beloved mother in 2024, Dr. Phillips-Bey received a sacred vision — a dream that would birth A Night of Ancestral Remembrance.
In that dream, her mother appeared on a quiet stage and said the words, “Turn this into love.”
Those words became a spiritual directive that would evolve into this powerful, living ceremony of remembrance and renewal.
For Dr. Phillips-Bey, The Ancestral Remembrance Gala is not an event — it is an offering. It is her way of honoring her mother’s legacy and answering the call to bring communities together in love, healing, and remembrance.
Through her leadership, she continues to bridge art, spirituality, and service, reminding us that remembrance is an act of power — and that healing is found in returning to who we truly are.
Her work through Project Beautiful and The Blue Tent Sacred Divinity School continues to inspire individuals and organizations alike to lead with compassion, purpose, and ancestral wisdom.
